OVERLOADED: THE SINGLES COLLECTION Sugababes brit lánycsapat első legnagyobb slágeralbuma. 2006. november 10-én adták ki – csaknem egy évvel az alapító tag, Mutya Buena távozása és utódja, Amelle Berrabah bevezetése után. Az Overloaded a csoport tizenkét kislemezét tartalmazza, amelyek közül négy az Egyesült Királyság első helyére került; "Freak like Me", "Round Round", "Hole in the Head" és "Nyomd meg a gombot". A Sugababes Orson tagjaival együttműködve két új számot készítettek az albumhoz, az "Easy"-t és a "Good to Be Gone"-t. Az Overloaded pozitív kritikákat kapott a kritikusoktól, akik általában dicsérték a csoport sikerének tükreként.
Az album a harmadik helyezést érte el az Egyesült Királyság albumlistáján, és a British Phonographic Industry (BPI) kétszeres platinalemez minősítést kapott. 2008 októberéig 600 000 példányban kelt el belőle az Egyesült Királyságban. Az Overloaded Írország és Portugália rekordlistáján is az első húsz közé, Ausztriában, Dániában, Németországban, Hollandiában, Norvégiában és Svájcban pedig a negyven közé jutott. Vezető kislemeze, az "Easy" egy héttel az album megjelenése előtt jelent meg, és Szlovákia és az Egyesült Királyság kislemezlistáján a legjobb tíz közé került. Az Overloaded népszerűsítésére a Sugababes a londoni 100 Clubban lépett fel, és 2007 márciusa és áprilisa között elindult az album kísérő turnéján az Egyesült Királyságban és Írországban.

HÁTTÉR

Nem sokkal a Sugababes negyedik stúdióalbuma, a Taller in More Ways megjelenése után 2005 decemberében bejelentették, hogy az alapító csoport tagja, Mutya Buena kilépett a zenekarból. Ezt követően két kislemez is megjelent az albumról, amelyben az új csoporttag, Amelle Berrabah szerepel, akit 24 órával távozása után bejelentettek Buena helyére. 2006 júniusában a Sugababes elkezdett dolgozni ötödik stúdióalbumukon, amelynek megjelenését 2007-ben hagyták jóvá. A csoport tagja, Heidi Range azonban azt is elárulta, hogy 2006 karácsonyára a legnagyobb sikerek albuma fog megjelenni, amely a csoport összes slágerét tartalmazza. MEGJELENÉS ÉS TARTALOM

Az Overloaded 2006. november 13-án jelent meg az Egyesült Királyságban. Ezen kívül egy remix album Overloaded: The Remix Collection címmel és egy legnagyobb sikerű DVD, az Overloaded: The Videos Collection ugyanazon a napon jelent meg. Az Overloaded nem jelent meg az Egyesült Államokban, annak ellenére, hogy a hírek szerint 2006. december 5-én lesz elérhető az országban. Dorian Lynskey, a The Guardian munkatársa szerint a csoport "pozitívan királyinak" tűnik az album borítóján. Az album a csoport tizenkét korábbi kislemezét tartalmazza, amelyek közül négy az Egyesült Királyság első helyére került: „Freak Like Me”, „Round Round”, „Hole in the Head” és „Push the Button”.
A Sugababes Orson tagjaival együttműködve két vadonatúj számot készítettek az albumhoz, az "Easy"-t és a "Good to Be Gone"-t. A "Red Dress" újra felvett változata Berrabah-val Buena helyett az utóbbi távozását követően került be a válogatásba.

KRITIKA

Az Overloaded pozitív kritikákat kapott a kritikusoktól, akik az albumot a csoport sikerének tükreként dicsérték. Andy Kellman, az AllMusic-től négy és fél csillagra értékelte az albumot az ötből. Dicsérte a számokat, mint "ideális bevezetést" a Sugababes-hez, és megjegyezte, hogy a Berrabah-val felvett új dalok "azt jelzik, hogy a csapat semmit sem veszített lendületéből". A Daily Record írója, Rick Fulton teljes ötcsillagos minősítést adott az albumnak, mondván: "A tagok cseréje nem tudja elfojtani a Sugababes győztes formuláját – a pimasz ének az elektro ritmusokkal szemben." KISLEMEZEK

EASY Sugababes brit lányegyüttes dala, amely a legnagyobb sikerű Overloaded: The Singles Collection (2006) albumuk vezető kislemezeként jelent meg. Az "Easy" fejlesztése akkor kezdődött, amikor az amerikai Orson rockegyüttes felfedezte, hogy a Sugababes egy új albumon dolgozik, amelyen új számokra adtak ötleteket. Később megírták a dalt a csoporttal, és elkészítették. Basszusszintetizátorokkal megtámogatva, lendületes elektropop és pop rock dal, amely metaforikus, szexuális eufemizmusokat tartalmazó lírai tartalmat tartalmaz. GOOD TO BE GONE 2007 elején kellett volna kiadni az album második és egyben utolsó kislemezeként, bár ezt hamarosan törölték, miután a Sugababes a másik lánycsapattal, a Girls Alouddal együttműködött a Comic Relief "Walk This Way" című kislemezén. A dal az első helyre került az Egyesült Királyságban.[

GREATEST HITS TOUR Az Overloaded albumbemutatójára 2006. október 3-án került sor a londoni Oxford Street 100 Clubjában. A 80 perces műsorban áramkimaradás történt, és a helyszínre hívták a technikusokat, majd egy órával később folytatódott az előadás. Egy élő zenekar támogatásával az albumon szereplő összes számot előadták (kivéve a "Good To Be Gone" és a "Shape"). Betty Clarke, a The Guardiantől ötből három csillagot adott az előadásra, és "olyan fényesek, mint a telivérek, olyan stílusban, mint a Topshop próbababák", bár elismerte, "amikor az éneklés abbamarad, megjelennek a repedések".
