THREE Sugababes brit lányegyüttes harmadik stúdióalbuma, amelyet az Island Records adott ki 2003. október 27-én. Négy kislemezt generált, amelyek a világ különböző részein kerültek listára; az első, a "Hole in the Head" a csoport harmadik első számú kislemeze lett az Egyesült Királyságban. A Sugababes három tagja egy-egy „szóló” dalt vett fel az albumra: „Whatever Makes You Happy” (Keisha Buchanan), „Sometimes” (Heidi Range) és „Maya” (Mutya Buena). A Three a harmadik helyen debütált a brit albumlistán.

HÁTTÉR

Miután megjelent a "Shape", a negyedik és egyben utolsó kislemez az Angels with Dirty Faces (2002) sikeres előző albumukról, a csoport bejelentette, hogy visszamentek a stúdióba, hogy olyan producerekkel kezdjenek dolgozni a következő albumon, akikkel az előző albumon is dolgoztak, mint például Jony Rockstar és Xenomania. Átmentek Amerikába, hogy olyan producerekkel dolgozzanak együtt, mint Linda Perry és Diane Warren, akik a „Too Lost in You” című balladát írták. Céljuk volt, hogy Amerikában is népszerűsítsék az új albumot. A lányok közösen írták és rögzítették saját számaikat az új albumon – Keisha „Whatever Makes You Happy”, Heidi „Sometimes”, Mutya pedig „Maya”, egy dal a nővéréről, aki váratlanul meghalt. A Sugababes később bejelentette a vezető kislemezt, a "Hole in the Head"-t és annak október 13-i megjelenési dátumát. A brit kiadás egy speciális kiadás volt, két extra számmal, a "Twisted"-vel és a "Busterrel". Kezdetben a Woolworths által az Egyesült Királyságban kínált digitális letölthető verzió véletlenül tartalmazta a „Whatever Makes You Happy” korábbi demóverzióját, de a hibát gyorsan kijavították. A streaming szolgáltatásokban a „Whatever Makes You Happy” alternatív változata váltotta fel az eredeti albumverziót.

KRITIKA

Három pozitív értékelést kapott a kritikusoktól, akik dicsérték az albumon található kísérleti, új urban és hip hop hangzásokat. Alan Braidwood a BBC-től pozitívan értékelte a Three-t, és kijelentette, hogy az album az Angels with Dirty Faces-től származik, és friss és izgalmas albumnak nevezte. Az új hangzást is dicsérte az albumon. Ross Hoffman, az AllMusictól úgy jellemezte az albumot, mint "dallamos, R&B-be illő dance-pop, friss hangzású, de elérhető produkciókkal, valamint a nagy, lógó balladák egészséges szeletével, kibővített stíluskínálattal."

HOLE IN THE HEAD Sugababes brit lányegyüttes által előadott dal, amelyet 2003. október 13-án adtak ki harmadik stúdióalbumuk, a Three vezető kislemezeként. A dalt a kritikusok elismeréssel fogadták, és kereskedelmi sikert aratott, és az Egyesült Királyság kislemezlistájának élére került. Az Egyesült Királyságon kívül a kislemez tíz másik országban a toplisták első tíz helyezettje között ért el csúcsot. TOO LOST IN YOU Az angol Sugababes lánycsapat dala harmadik stúdióalbumukról, a Three-ről (2003). Diane Warren amerikai dalszerző írta Patricia Kaas francia énekesnő "Quand j'ai peur de tout" ("When I'm Afraid of Everything") című dalának angol nyelvű feldolgozásaként (amelynek francia szövege Jean-Jacques Goldman volt). A dal producere az ausztrál zenész, Rob Dougan Andy Bradfielddel együttműködve, és a hollywoodi Realsongs stúdióban rögzítették. A "Too Lost in You" eredeti verziója kiemelkedően szerepel a 2003-as Love Actually című film filmzenéjében, és kifejezetten Richard Curtis választotta a filmhez. Ez egy pop rock és R&B ballada, amely zenekari zenei feldolgozásból és sötét harmóniákból áll.
A "Too Lost in You" 2003. december 15-én jelent meg az Egyesült Királyságban az album második kislemezeként, és egy új mixet tartalmazott a produkcióhoz. IN THE MIDDLE Sugababes angol lányegyüttes dala, amelyet 2004. március 22-én adtak ki harmadik stúdióalbumuk, a Three (2003) harmadik kislemezeként. A Sugababes-ék ihletet kaptak a dal megkomponálására egy éjszakai kiránduláson átélt különböző helyzetek alapján; Miranda Cooper, Brian Higgins, Niara Scarlett, Shawn Lee, Lisa Cowling, Andre Tegler, Phil Fuldner és Michael Bellina közreműködésével írták. Higgins, Xenomania és Jeremy Wheatley készítette a dalt. Az "In the Middle" egy dance-pop és funk hatású lemez, amely a német DJ Moguai "U Know Y" című dalának mintáját tartalmazza.
A dalt a kritikusok dicséretben részesítették, és dicsérték a produkciót és a vonzerejét, és jelölték a legjobb brit kislemez kategóriában a 2005-ös BRIT Awardson.
